Sorry for the lack of updates. Guess my schedule is getting more packed than usual.

Just got myself a Nikon D50 DSLR and am enjoying some nice pictures I'm getting out of it. Just one for example, taken during my KL trip on the 19th:



For the moment it's lots of urban shots, but I'm progressing from there.

Meanwhile, F.I.R's 飞行部落 album is going to be released tomorrow but for those who actually follow what's on the Internet, the album has been leaked and released into the wild 2 days ago, and of course I've picked it up. Very nice album, now I just await the second press which comes with MTV DVD's, just like the 龚诗嘉 and 南拳妈妈 albums which comes with the MTV's.

For now, I'll just share one of the songs, 飞行部落, for a taste of their new album. One thing though, it's not as rock as before, but it's still pretty much F.I.R style.

I had enough of my mum, who is trying to bypass me and meddling with my friends. The objective is simple: she doesn't want me to get married, 'cos firstly we're of different surnames so no use having babies that won't follow her surname; secondly, she can get to keep more of my money for herself, or even demand all but just enough for day-to-day expenses. If you constantly try to criticize and make noise about the one-grand purchases I'm making now (simply 'cos it's the season to buy & upgrade stuff now for next time and I'm buying everything together) instead of giving the money to you and rant-threaten to end our ties and find someone else who can give you that money....... I can't be bothered. And don't try to deny & cover it up with more twists and turns later.

Same goes to those girls who try to meddle with the girl I'm considering just because they are jealous. I can tell the type of person you are and whether there's synergy and whether we can have a long relationship. If I said no, it's clearly no; if you insist, it'll end in a month's time naturally, and we'll all be worse after that. And worst if you think she should not be with you and try to take things into your hands. I've lost relationships to that before and I'll not let that happen, hear that. If you insist, then 连朋友都没得做.

This is funny only us Singaporeans can come up with this, even an Englishman could not construct sentences using numeric...

Ah Lek was asked to make a sentence using 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10. Not only did he do it 1 to 10, he did it again from 10 back to 1. This is what he came up with... 1 day I go 2 climb up a 3 outside a house to peep. But the couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rush out and wanted to 5 with me. I run until I fall 6 and throw up. So I go into 7 eleven and grab some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab him. 10 God he run away.

So, I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7 eleven. Next day, I call my boss and say I am 6 . He said 5, tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work. He also asks me to climb a 3 and jump down. I don't understand, I am so nice 2 him but I don't know what he 1.

Back from a long field day.

I've gotten my E61 yesterday evening and I could not wait to unleash it to do the most promising thing possible: always-on mobile MSN. =D

The results were good, no dropped signals with GPRS, it stayed on throughout.. for 12 hours. The E61's 1500mAh battery kept it running all the while, even with quite intensive chatting, but the main worry is that the antenna could get too hot if you kept it in your pocket for too long, it needs to be kept in your hand once in a while and let it 'breathe'.

Went for Jolene's birthday party today. Hani and Jasby couldn't make it, so I was there alone. So sads. I could only, erm, mix around with some of her family members? Yeah. Got through it, no worries, but just wished my mouth was in a better condition. It deteroiated a little since last Sunday and is not exactly improving either.

Be trying out Widgets soon. Those that fetch nuggets of information from the net and display on the main screen kind. =D

The B9TL Wheelchair-Accessible Buses (WABs) were out for the second day only, but not all were having a smooth day. SBS7304D broke down opposite White Sands Primary School at 10.45pm, on its last trip of the day from Pasir Ris to St. Michael's.

According to the driver, the driver on morning shift had the same problem, but he managed to get it started again. This time, the driver had no luck, the intelligent display kept showing "STOP, ENGINE FAILURE!" when you try to start the machine.

The mechanics came, were feeling clueless at trying to rectify a new kind of bus which they don't do everyday (so far), manually restarted the bus successfully on the second try with the switch at the back of the engine. I had the opportunity to see them at work, but my camera is crap when it comes to night shots. Still, I managed to salvage the engine compartment photo, and admire its inline 6-cylinder 9.8-litre engine (painted in green).

Breakdowns are everyday occurences, new buses or old buses, but let's hope the WAB will have an easier third day. =)
