It's another day out with Weijie. We had a few tasks to settle for the day.Dragging our torsos out of his house at Woodlands, we made our way down to the Far West land of Buona Vista for lunch at the duck rice stall. Thumbs up for the food, and for the girl who served us. She is really very sweet, especially when she smiled gently and in a shy manner, yet so radiant you'll fall for it. Lols. Your looks are being appreciated. :)
Then down to Prince George's Park at NUS to see-see. Weijie's crush (or ex-crush?) bunks in here so, since none of us had stepped in to this seemingly grand place as depicted by the map, we decided to explore. And oh man, it really is very grand. You could easily have mistaken this place for a condominium, except people lived in smaller spaces meant for individuals. It's really like in a world of its own, yet it's an integral part of NUS since a majority of campus hostelers live here - what we call a "satellite town". Since it was a hot day we didn't stay too long and we left for cooler pastures.
After a brief tour of the Techno Edge canteen (which is closed) and the adjacent McDonald's outlet, we headed off for a respite and found ourselves in Orchard, where, aside from the understated mission of finding the right size for his much wished-for Puma shoe, we had mini adventures around. Looking at exotic cup noodles for the Land of Nippon, following people on 3-minute trips for a glimpse into their lives while munching on our takeaways, had cravings on fish while looking for drinks to quench our thirst, playing with headphones in HMV, meeting old friends on the streets, before finally finding the right pair of shoes.
And by then, the sun had given up on us and we headed home, in a sense, under darkness. It wasn't long before people realised that they have a job to attend to, a family to take care of, and a telly to watch. Lols. Well, I'm waiting for the Barclays EPL Highlights on Channel 5 at 11pm. I haven't watched soccer for ages, though I'll be glued to the screen if it happens to be on the television, which happens rarely. And I haven't watched taiwan variety shows - I almost forgot about their existence!
Weijie will be in Australia for 3 weeks and will only head back on the 25th. Till then, I'll stay home and wait for my ulcers to clear up, which should be gone by this weekend. I geninuely hope so... oh yes, I'll be visiting Hani on Thursday.
Pictures.

Prince George's Park. So nice!

I don't mind staying here, really.

Weekend madness on campus finds its way to the rubbish bin at Techno Edge canteen. And all of it from McDonald's.

The sign means "Upstairs got girl". Lols.

If you're reading this while mugging for your 'O' Levels, you know what to eat for mugging sessions as well. Actually, it means mug noodles - cup noodles in a mug. And it has the cute crab meat slices in the shapes of animals like panda and dogs. Anyway it costs about $3 per packet, 'cos it's imported straight from Japan.

What? Matilda's album is sold cheaper than Maia's in HMV? It's been a while since I spotted a new mando pop album in that price range!

Sorry for the blur image. How does this set of Panasonic RP-HJE 70 earphone look to you? Care to guess its price?

Hold your breath! I don't think I'll get it even if I'm an audiophile. I shall stick to my 10Hz-25kHz earphones.
