Day trip to Pulau Ubin. It was amazing that we got our butts up at six in the morning having slept past midnight, though the hangover was terrible, and now it's getting nowhere better after all that exercising.

We better start building some stamina. And I thought it was only 4 months ago when I last cycled long distance.

Yeah, while I feel like being put into the reserves for walking like as though I'd stumble anytime due to our kway teow legs, we did made it through the length of the boardwalk and back to the bus stop for a ride down to the Airport for a nice dinner.

Now, I just want to faint on my bed and never see sunlight till Christmas. Lols.

The ferry terminal is very, very new, and comes with its own pub called Terminal.

We discovered this "plateau" near the "Forbidden Palace". It's along the tracks leading to this German temple.

We decided to be wacky outside the "Forbidden Palace", the famous Ubin Quarry, when the "guards" are not around. (There are 5 quarries on the island.) For trespassing, you could be $1,000 worse but we went in for a quick shot anyway, 'cos we know roughly the situation inside.

High tide hits the road as the gravel track to the link bridge leading from "Nodding" beach to "Mama" beach is flooded. But we had some fun on the clear waters that is like a natural stream.

According to the uncle at the counter, we could write suggestions and get "instant" solutions. Sounds like some Aladdin's Lamp. And an idea of what some tourist will wear to come to Ubin. And not forgetting the mailbox.

The van has a VCD player at the dashboard! And one of the handful of taxis still plying in Ubin, with all the old fittings and even the old fare notices. Passenger vans capable of sitting 7 at one go has taken over.
