Ramblings & Rants of an Egg Sushi

untitledWas at Orchard today to check out Chingay and to support my friend, Apple, who is part of the Japanese Association. Seriously, without any bit of "bias-ness", they are the best outfit, even though I could tell from the float that they are on a tight budget this year, as I was told. But their dance and rapport was overwhelming. Other corporations with more financial muscle, like Singapore Tourism Board's "Uniquely Singapore" and Hosen Fruits, had splendid floats but the performance was just average. So-so, loh.

Had a glance with some big shots' car with the car plate SPE1, which I had no idea who is it used for. And I shoke hands with so many particpants at the end of the Chingay zone, who had just completed their "Big Walk" down the normally busy Orchard Road. Indeed, there were no jams this time round 'cos everyone had their weekend dinners and shopping elsewhere, or simply stayed home.

And I took the very last bus into Orchard Road before it was officially closed. It was a Service 7 bus, and was the only vehicle allowed in at 6pm sharp. Cool. It had a mission though, that is to ferry everyone who are waiting at the bus stop as it is the last bus. While the Lucky Plaza bus stop was cleared (the bus stop itself is in the confined zone, that's why), there are stubborn souls who didn't get up at Centrepoint, because the driver didn't feel the enthusiasm and there were no police officers to direct the people up. Good for them.

Pictures, again. My camera is really bad at night shots. :(
